Current Undergraduate Students
Over 200 undergraduate students choose Animal and Dairy Sciences as their major. Our goal is to prepare students to enter the job market as educated animal scientists or to further their education in graduate school, colleges of veterinarian medicine or medical school.

Curriculum: The Animal and Dairy Sciences curriculum is designed with four different concentrations to choose from to allow for flexibility to help students achieve their goals.
Scholarships: Approximately $20,000 in annual scholarships are awarded by the Department each year.
Financial Aid: Mississippi State University’s Department of Financial Aid assists students with financial aid opportunities.
Activities, Clubs, Organizations: The Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences encourages its students to take advantage of the many experiences offered by the departmental student organizations and teams. Clubs are a great way to develop leadership skills and to learn about the various animal industries.
